In this specialisation minor, the focus is on innovation management. New developments in ICT present themselves in a rapid pace. To be able to anticipate this in an effective way and to fully use these innovations to the benefit of your business, it is important to see these developments as a service. However, this service has to be supported in all management and security aspects.
"The digital world in control!"
Frank Haverkort - Coordinator ICT & Management and Security
In this specialisation route the focus is on IT Service Management. ICT-security is one of the standard points of attention: information security, privacy concerns and coping with ICT-threats. In the first semester and the second year, the focus is on IT Service management-processes and attention for hacking-threats. You will also conduct research in the business world.
The second semester is about information security, with attention for risk assessments, awareness, legislation and network security. In addition, innovation management is one of the goals, but this topic will only be covered in the specialisation minor in the fourth year: transforming new innovations into business opportunities.
The minor students of ICT & Management and Security follow the program of the DDBL minor together with the students of the minor data driven business lab (DDBL). They play roles within the project groups, which have to do with infrastructure and information security.
Aspects that they have had in the specialization about management and security are linked to practice and implemented in practice. The students also pay attention to innovations within the above aspects.
